Brilliance

by Lauren Ferebee

Winter 2026

After the sudden loss of her husband, a marine biologist comes home to the mother she’s long kept at arm’s length—carrying both her grief and the fear that she’s lost her identity as a scientist. As the two women collide over their complicated past, they must face their shared hurt and hard truths if either of them is to move forward.
